Our Mission

At Beyond the Leash, we believe the human-animal bond can be optimized to give people and their pets relationships that are filled with fun, happiness, and trust!

Through a balanced training approach, we provide a variety of services like obedience, agility, and therapy dog certifications to help train dogs to know different behaviors, have good manners, and foster stronger bonds with their humans.

Kim Bissing is a highly experienced and dedicated professional with a diverse background in the field of animal care and training. She holds a BS in Biology with a concentration in Marine Biology from Bridgewater State College in Bridgewater, Massachusetts, and graduated with honors as a member of the Tri Beta Honor Society. With a strong educational foundation, Kim has built a career specializing in various aspects of veterinary management, dog training, animal behavior, and client education. 

Before her current roles, she served as the Floor Manager and Head Dog Trainer at East Orlando Animal Hospital, an AAHA Accredited practice, where, she oversaw daily clinic operations, created and executed protocols, provided staff training and education, and focused on client compliance and customer service.  Kim's expertise in cold laser therapy, behavior modification, and dog training enriched the services provided at the hospital.

Kim is dedicated to force-free training methods and offers valuable services to both dogs and their owners. Additionally, she has played a crucial role as the Pet Therapy Coordinator at Orlando Health, where she coordinates volunteer teams, schedules visits, maintains supplies, and offers support and training to pet therapy teams and their dogs. 

 As the Owner and Head Trainer of Beyond The Leash Dog Training in Orlando, Florida, Kim manages all aspects of this successful dog training business. This includes overseeing group classes, private sessions, behavior modification, and various canine events. Throughout her career, Kim has been committed to educating pet owners, improving animal behavior, and enhancing the human-animal bond. Kim's passion for this field is evident through her diverse skill set, certifications, and extensive experience!

Our Team

We proudly support

Poodle and Pooch Rescue is a non profit organization in the Central Florida area that saves dogs that truly need help. They rescue the “leftovers” from animal control, the dogs nobody wants because they’re older or suffer from neglect, abuse or have a medical need.

We partner with PPR in order to help with behavior cases by providing training & behavior modification in order to help these pups find their furrever homes!
