This lecture-based course is designed for dogs of any age and covers essential life skills for both dogs and their owners. Topics include crate training, potty training, grooming and handling, nutrition, socialization, and more. Dogs may have the opportunity to end the class with supervised playtime to help puppies build healthy social skills.
Weekly Topics
Week 1: Crate training, potty training, separation anxiety, and mental enrichment
Week 2: Breaking bad habits (barking, nipping, biting, digging, marking, jumping, whining) and potty-training practice
Week 3: Nutrition basics — choosing food, portion sizes, healthy vs. unhealthy options, and exercise
Week 4: Socialization stations — grooming desensitization, puppy cradles, and exposure to different objects

This course is designed to help dogs build confidence, overcome fear, and develop resilience in different environments. Using a balanced training approach, we will expose dogs to new experiences, textures, sounds, and challenges while reinforcing trust between the dog and handler.

In this class we will be introducing basic commands, helping your dog to focus on you as their handler around distractions, working through fear periods and manners for greeting people. Our trainers will be available to answer questions to help you correct any unwanted behaviors that might show up.
