Day Camp at Beyond The Leash  offers a dynamic and enriching experience tailored for dogs to thrive in a safe and supervised environment. Your pup will participate in structured play sessions organized into small, monitored play groups that suits their temperament and energy level. Just as important as playtime, day camp provides designated rest periods. Dogs will be crated during the day where they can unwind, take a break from activities, and recharge as needed.

Day Camp+ (plus) at Beyond The Leash offers an enhanced experience for dogs that combines structured play with one 20 minute basic obedience training session.

Training and Behavior Modification at Beyond The Leash offers structured play and socialization as well as three goal-based training sessions per day. Each session is tailored to address specific training objectives set by the owner and the trainers at Beyond The Leash. The training sessions are customized to focus on the individual needs and behaviors of each dog. Whether it’s basic obedience training, addressing behavioral issues such as leash pulling or jumping, or advanced commands, the training is personalized to achieve the desired outcomes effective
*first time campers are required to do DC+ or Training and Behavior Modification

DAY CAMP

What’s the difference between Day Camp, Day Camp+, and Training & Behavior Modification?*

When your pup isn’t playing with friends, training with their trainer, or going on walks around the neighborhood, they’re in kennels. Just like children’s daycare, all play and no structure leads to an over-tired, overstimulated and grumpy child. The same thing applies here at doggy day camp. They all need an opportunity to relax and wind down in their kennel. You can always do add ons while they’re in the kennel for extra mental enrichment. You can do a frozen stuffed kong for $3.00 or feeding them breakfast in a puzzle bowl/snuffle mat for $3.00. We ensure all dogs are in comfortable, size appropriate kennels in air conditioning. We diffuse Lavender, play calming spa music and have various other calming support to help make sure your pup is happy and calm!

How long are they in a kennel for?

Enclosed spaces create a shelter for your dog to rest and relax. Actually, dogs instinctively seek small spaces to create protective shelters for themselves. Crates are useful training tools for puppies, safe havens for senior dogs, and lifesavers for emergencies. Most veterinarians, trainers, and breeders recommend crate training dogs from a young age. Crate training is an essential part of housebreaking puppies, as dogs don’t like to soil their sleeping quarters. They learn to hold their bladders while they’re in their crate, so you won’t have to clean up messes!
Crate training comes in handy during everyday life. Some dogs might need a break from a bustling household or a familiar place to rest. Crates help dogs learn to self-soothe or deal with their anxiety during situations where they become distressed, like during fireworks, thunderstorms, or construction. Dogs can retreat to their crates when situations are too chaotic or scary. Crate training also helps dogs confront new situations successfully, like the addition of a new baby or having company over.

Why are they in kennels?

We like to ensure the safety of all employees and dogs by doing careful and attentive temperament testing to our facility and trainers. Its very important to us to build up a bond with your pup and make sure they are happy and comfortable here before we engage in any type of puppy play.

When will my dog play with other dogs?

Yes, all our pups in day care play in groups that are appropriate sizes and temperaments. We want to make sure everyone is playing safe and having a good time!

BOARDING

My puppy is 13 weeks and potties in the middle of the night what do you do for boarding if they go out in the middle of the night?

We make sure to withhold water for an appropriate amount of time after they are done playing and training. Puppies only need 1/4 cup of water after rigorous play/training or with meals. We save their last potty walk for the very end of the night at 6pm. They should be able to hold it until were back in in the morning to let them out. If they’re struggling with holding it through the night that’s what we will focus on while they’re here to help break them of that bad habit!

Are they alone all weekend?

No! We have Kennel Attendants and Trainers scheduled all weekend long to ensure your pup is getting all the playtime, training and walks they need!

My dog hates his kennel and cannot be in one overnight what do you do for that?

We ask that you bring them here before you board to start training & conditioning them to the kennel so they can be more comfortable when they come stay.

Will I get any pictures?

We will send brief daily updates through our app called Paw Partners.

How do I know what to do at home once I pick them up/ what have they learned?

If your pup has stayed for a longer period of time— we recommend scheduling a private lesson upon pick up so our trainers can show you exactly how to stay consistent at home with what they’ve learned!

I cant book boarding online, how do I do that?

Please text or email our office to book your boarding. 407-872-912 / info@beyondtheleash.dog

It's my first time boarding with you, what do I need to bring?

What do I bring/ do I feed them breakfast?

GROUP CLASS

Bring some high value treats and don’t feed your pup breakfast so they’re excited and motivated to learn! If you don’t have high value treats you can purchase them at class from us!

Where are the group classes held?

Our group classes are held at 731 Franklin Lane Orlando, FL 32801

Where do I park?

You can park anywhere on the street. Please refrain from parking in front of buildings with driveways or too close to the stop signs (you’ll get ticketed for that)

Is it outside? What happens if it rains? What do we do?

Some of our group classes are held outside, so please dress accordingly and be prepared for heat (bring lots of water, cooling mats, ice cubes). Of course we can't control the weather, so if it happens to rain we will do our best to accommodate class indoors or reschedule class.
